Eco Friendly Culture:
Thapovanam is committed to practices, lifestyle, beliefs, and values that promote sound ecological principles, conservation, non-exploitation, and stimulate growth and development with respect for nature and long-term sustainability. Promoting greenery in the form of diverse, native grasses, plants, herbs, and trees; restoring Allaipiddy’s coastal pristine environment of sand dunes, palmyra forests, and ground freshwater that have been impacted by recent destruction of palmyra trees and sand mining, resulting in sea erosion and saltwater intrusion into groundwater through analog reforestation and Miyawaki forests; refilling of soil and sand; protecting and nurturing animal and bird life; using organic fertilizers, avoiding synthetic pesticides and chemicals would form part of the culture. Waste management, with minimum use, maximizing reuse, recycling of plastics, composting of organic waste, and periodic removal of abundant plastic debris and pollution washing ashore. Ecological control of pests and vectors, mosquitoes.

Renting basic accommodations, cottages with food; nurturing and cultivating palmyra, coconuts, vegetables, herbs, and sea products; selling produce; running local hand and small industries with local women, disadvantaged individuals, and disabled persons as non-exploitative, self-managed cooperatives; Siddha Ayurveda herbal massage and herbal bath; counseling and support for individual stress, minor mental health issues, and family problems.
